The Thailand Board of Investment (BOI) has launched the THECA 2025 initiative, aiming to transform Thailand into Asia's most comprehensive electronics ecosystem.

The Thailand Board of Investment (BOI) has officially launched THECA 2025, further solidifying Thailand's strategic transformation from a "manufacturing base" to a "leader in Asia's integrated electronics ecosystem." Jointly organized by the Thai Printed Circuit Association (THPCA) and the Hong Kong Printed Circuit Association (HKPCA), the exhibition's theme is "How to Effectively Build the Future Electronics Ecosystem," aiming to integrate the global supply chain onto a single platform.
THCA 2025 will be held from August 20th to 22nd, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM at the Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre (BITEC) Hall EH99-100. The exhibition will bring together over 250 leading companies from 15 countries across the three key segments of the electronics industry ecosystem—upstream, midstream, and downstream. The exhibition is expected to generate up to 20 billion baht in trade and attract approximately 7,000 visitors through core activities including business negotiations, networking events, international conferences and seminars, and innovative technology demonstrations. One of the highlights of the exhibition is the PCB 2025 Job Fair, which will offer over 80,000 job opportunities in the electronics industry.
Mr. Narit Tedestirasukdi, Secretary General of the Thailand Board of Investment (BOI) and host, stated that THECA 2025 is more than just a trade fair; it symbolizes Thailand's transformation from a mere manufacturing base into Asia's most comprehensive "electronics ecosystem leader." The Thailand Board of Investment has developed a comprehensive investment promotion strategy encompassing a range of measures, from improving investment incentives and infrastructure development to promoting technological innovation, enhancing workforce skills, and building a global connectivity network.
From January 2022 to June 2025, a total of 517 investment promotion applications for the semiconductor and advanced electronics industries were received, covering multiple sectors including chip design and assembly, wafer manufacturing and testing, PCB manufacturing and assembly, smart home appliances, and electronic device production. These projects represent a total investment of over 700 billion Thai Baht, with major investors from Germany, the United States, mainland China, Taiwan, Japan, South Korea, and Hong Kong. Of these, 180 PCB industry investment projects were undertaken, totaling over 200 billion baht, solidifying Thailand's position as ASEAN's largest PCB producer and one of the world's top five PCB producers.
The Thailand Board of Investment (BOI) hosted a forum themed "Building the Future: Investment Policies Shaping Thailand's Advanced Electronics and Semiconductor Ecosystem." The forum aimed to bring together all stakeholders in the ecosystem—from integrated circuit design to wafer manufacturing and testing, to printed circuit board (PCB) and electronic manufacturing services (EMS) production, and finally to integrated circuit packaging and testing—into a fully integrated supply chain. This is particularly important for Thailand's PCB industry, which is transitioning from traditional production models to advanced PCB development, including high-density interconnect (HDI) PCBs, flexible PCBs, or multilayer PCBs, to support high-tech industries, especially the development of artificial intelligence (AI).
“Thailand has become a leading manufacturing base for a wide range of electronic products, including hard disk drives, printed circuit boards, integrated circuit packaging and testing, electronic manufacturing services (EMS) production, smart home appliances, and electronic equipment manufacturing. Looking ahead, Thailand has the potential to become a leader in the regional electronics ecosystem, serving as a hub integrating production, design, R&D, supply chain connectivity, and regional headquarters of leading global companies. The key to achieving this goal lies in human resource development and empowering Thai entrepreneurs with advanced technical skills and knowledge,” Mr. Narit emphasized.

Mr. Pitaon Ongkosit, Chairman of the Thai Electronics and Integrated Circuit Certification Association (THECA) and organizer, emphasized that this year's exhibition successfully integrated the entire supply chain and electronics ecosystem for the first time, covering all aspects including raw materials, chemicals, machinery and equipment, PCB manufacturing, testing services, and global standards. More than 250 companies from around the world are exhibiting, including those from Thailand, mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, the UK, the US, Germany, the Netherlands, Spain, Canada, and India. It is expected to attract over 7,000 visitors, with an exhibition area of 12,000 square meters.
THECA 2025 also features 46 in-depth technical seminars, presented by 68 distinguished experts and industry leaders. These workshops cover five core themes, highlighting Thailand's immense potential as a global leader in the electronics industry:
1. Quantum and Semiconductors – Infrastructure Readiness for the Quantum Age
2. Artificial Intelligence and PCB – Enhancing the Precision and Speed of PCB Production with AI
3. Digital Twins and Simulation – Reducing Production Costs with Advanced Modeling Techniques
4. Sustainability and Supply Chain – Developing Resilient, ESG-compliant Electronics Manufacturing
5. Education and Design – Cultivating Human Capital and Knowledge from Design to Assembly
A major highlight is the 2025 PCB Job Fair, designed to connect over 80,000 skilled workers worldwide with electronics companies.
Mr. Chung Ka-yan, President of the Hong Kong Printed Circuit Board Association (HKPCA) and co-organizer, emphasized that THECA 2025 is not only a platform for showcasing innovation and technology but also underscores Thailand's position as a knowledge hub for printed circuit boards in Asia – a center that brings together expertise, design excellence, and international standards. He highlighted Thailand's strong manufacturing base, highly skilled workforce, and supportive government policies, noting that Thailand's commitment to green manufacturing and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) practices further solidifies these advantages, enabling Thailand to build a sustainable and competitive supply chain for the global electronics industry.
Dr. Duangde Yuekwamdi, Director of the Exhibitions Department at the Thailand Convention & Exhibition Bureau (TCEB), emphasized that THECA 2025 plays a crucial role in Thailand's 20-year convention and exhibition strategic plan, driving national sustainable development through the convention and exhibition industry. He stated, "THECA 2025 contributes in various ways—including economic benefits, attracting global investors, in-depth exchange of technical knowledge, and building comprehensive global business connections for Thailand's electronics supply chain." This event aligns with TCEB's mission to leverage the convention and exhibition industry to drive specific industry development and enhance Thailand's international convention and exhibition brand, particularly in the technology and electronics industry clusters that are vital to Thailand's digital economy.
THECA 2025 is supported by the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB), KCE Electronics PLC, Auromex Co., Ltd., and Mitsubishi Electric Factory Automation (Thailand) Co., Ltd.
Mr. Pitharn Ongkosit summarized, “THECA 2025 is not just a platform to showcase innovation; it’s an ecosystem enabler—connecting knowledge, investment, and talent to propel Thailand’s PCB and PCBA industries onto the world stage, aligning them with ESG standards and global green industry trends.”
